Bringing it back

I used to have a blog entitled "GeeKritique", in which I detailed movie and television reviews, news on my favorite TV Shows and movies, and the like. But that went the way of all the earth. So this shall be "GeeKritique 2.0" I am doing this as a pure outlet for my geekdom. One of the first things you will see here is a review for my favorite film of this year, "Man of Steel." It should be no surprise that I am a huge Superman fan. And this scratched every itch that I have as a Superman fan. It really worked for me. I'll get further into it in my detailed review of the film, but I really liked it. Now aside from being a huge fan of Superman, I am also a fan of the work of Joss Whedon. I loved Buffy, Angel and ADORE Firefly. Serenity is one of my favorite sci-fi films to date. Even above Star Wars. Not only that but Avengers was one of my favorite superhero films to come out in the past 10 years. So having loved Joss Whedon's work on television and film, I have never read his work in the medium of comic books. So another thing you will see is my review/reactions to the Joss Whedon run on "Astonishing X-Men." I have been told it's the definitive X-Men run. So over the course of however long it takes, you will see my reviews of that comic series. Please bear in mind that I have never read this particular comic series, so if you could please not put spoilery comments in the comments section. Now this blog will not be limited to Man of Steel and Astonishing X-Men. It's a forum for me to talk about any subject matter that attracts my fancy. Geekritique is back and it's here to stay.
